Introduction or Abstract

This session will bring together Thai academics, researchers, persons involved in international collaboration to express and share the idea on the impact of research capacity enhancement through international collaboration, especially through the Newton Fund to highlight its legacy. This also aims to raise awareness and enhance the continuity of Thai-UK joint research. By working together on research and innovation, the UK and Thailand will use its strengths to build strong, sustainable, systemic relationships.

14:00 – 14:10	Introduction to the session and welcome speech by the British Council Thailand followed by a 5-minute video.
14:10 – 14:25	Case study from Dr. Kallaya Sritunyalucksana, in project named An International Network for shrimp health (INSH) to bridge the gap between cutting-edge research, policy and the farmer
14:25 – 14:40	Case study from Dr. Witiya Pittungnapoo, in project named Flooding Adaptation for Water-based Cultural Landscape Preservation: Learning from Thailand and UK experiences.
14:40 – 14:55	Case study from Dr. Yothin Teethaisong, in PhD Scholar programme
14:55 – 15:10	Case study from UK university
15:10 – 15:20	Update on UK science and research policy by the representative from the British Embassy Bangkok

Language

The seminar will be conducted mainly in Thai unless English speaker where there will be no interpretation or translation available.

บทคัดย่อ

การจัดสัมมนาในครั้งนี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อเปิดโอกาสให้นักวิชาการ นักวิจัย หรือผู้ที่มีส่วนเกี่ยวข้องกับความร่วมมือทางการวิจัยระหว่างประเทศได้นำเสนอและแบ่งปันประสบการณ์ตลอดจนผลลัพธ์ที่ได้รับจากการเพิ่มสมรรถภาพในการวิจัยผ่านโครงการความร่วมระหว่างประเทศ โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งจากทุนวิจัยนิวตัน เพื่อร่วมฉลองในโอกาสที่โครงการวิจัยทุนนิวตันได้ดำเนินการเสร็จสิ้นเป็นที่เรียบร้อยแล้ว นอกจากนี้การสัมมนาในครั้งนี้ ยังมุ่งหวังไปที่การสร้างความตระหนักและสนับสนุนความต่อเนื่องในการวิจัยระว่างประเทศไทยและสหราชอาณาจักรในระยะยาว เพื่อนำจุดแข็งของทั้งสองประเทศมาสร้างความสัมพันธ์ทางด้านงานวิจัยและนวัตกรรมอย่างยั่งยืนต่อไป

ภาษาไทย ยกเว้นวิทยากรต่างชาติบรรยายภาษาอังกฤษ และไม่มีการแปลเป็นภาษาไทย งานสัมมนาในครั้งนี้จะดำเนินการโดยตัวแทนจากบริติชเคานซิล ประเทศไทย
