สวทช. เปิดเวทีแลกเปลี่ยนองค์ความรู้ด้าน IP กับผู้เชี่ยวชาญจาก LifeArc UK

เมื่อวันที่ 24 เมษายน 2568 ที่ผ่านมา สวทช. โดย สำนักงานจัดการสิทธิเทคโนโลยี ได้จัดกิจกรรมการบรรยายพิเศษและแลกเปลี่ยนประสบการณ์ในหัวข้อ "IP Management and Valorization of Genome-based Technologies" ณ โรงแรมโนโวเทล ฟิวเจอร์พาร์ค รังสิต โดยได้รับเกียรติจาก Dr. Anji Miller จากองค์กร LifeArc สหราชอาณาจักร มาเป็นวิทยากรหลักในการบรรยายและแลกเปลี่ยนความรู้กับผู้เข้าร่วมงาน Dr. Miller มีความเชี่ยวชาญเฉพาะทางด้านการบริหารจัดการทรัพย์สินทางปัญญาในผลงานด้านเทคโนโลยีชีวภาพทางการแพทย์และจีโนมิกส์ โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งภายใต้บริบทของ บริการทางการแพทย์แบบแม่นยำ (Precision Medicine) และมีบทบาทสำคัญในระดับนานาชาติในด้านการผลักดันผลงานวิจัยไปสู่การนำไปใช้ประโยชน์ทั้งในลักษณะของการร่วมวิจัยกับหน่วยงานต่างๆ การใช้ประโยชน์เชิงพาณิชย์

องค์กร LifeArc ที่ Dr. Miller สังกัดนั้น เป็นองค์กรที่มีบทบาทสำคัญในการสนับสนุนให้เกิด Translational Research หรือการแปลผลงานวิจัยไปสู่การประยุกต์ใช้และภาคอุตสาหกรรม ทั้งในด้านการลงทุน การให้บริการด้านทรัพย์สินทางปัญญา และการถ่ายทอดเทคโนโลยี โดยกิจกรรมในครั้งนี้ได้รับความสนใจจากผู้เข้าร่วมหลากหลายภาคส่วน ทั้งนักวิจัย ผู้บริหารจัดการใช้ประโยชน์ในงานวิจัย และผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้านนวัตกรรม

ภายในงานประกอบด้วยการนำเสนอแนวทางการบริหารจัดการทรัพย์สินทางปัญญาสำหรับงานวิจัยด้านจีโนม การแชร์ประสบการณ์จากกรณีศึกษาจริงของ LifeArc ในการผลักดันงานวิจัยสู่เชิงพาณิชย์ และการวางแผนกลยุทธ์เพื่อการสร้างมูลค่า (Valorization Strategy) จากผลงานวิจัย นอกจากนี้ยังเปิดโอกาสให้ผู้เข้าร่วมได้ร่วมแลกเปลี่ยนความเห็นและสร้างเครือข่ายในช่วง Networking อย่างเป็นกันเอง

กิจกรรมในครั้งนี้นับเป็นอีกหนึ่งก้าวสำคัญของ สวทช. ในการส่งเสริมศักยภาพของนักวิจัยไทยในการจัดการทรัพย์สินทางปัญญาอย่างมืออาชีพ พร้อมยกระดับผลงานวิจัยไทยสู่เวทีโลก




NSTDA Hosted IP Knowledge Exchange Session with Expert from LifeArc UK

On April 24, 2025, the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), through the Technology Licensing Office (TLO), hosted a special talk and experience-sharing session titled "A Special Talk: IP Management and Valorization of Genome-based Technologies" at Novotel Bangkok Future Park Rangsit. The event featured Dr. Anji Miller, an expert in intellectual property (IP) management from LifeArc, United Kingdom , as the keynote speaker, sharing her insights and experiences with a diverse group of participants.

Dr. Miller is a leading professional in the fields of medical biotechnology and genomics, and plays a key role internationally in translating academic research into commercial applications. Her expertise is particularly relevant to the growing field of Precision Medicine, which focuses on tailored healthcare solutions based on genetic and molecular profiling.

LifeArc, the organization Dr. Miller represents, plays a pivotal role in bridging the gap between academic discoveries and industrial applications. Its services include investment in early-stage research, IP management, and technology transfer. The event attracted a wide range of participants, including researchers, research managers, and innovative professionals from various sectors.

The program featured a comprehensive presentation on best practices in managing intellectual property for genome-based research, real-world case studies from LifeArc's commercialization efforts, and strategic approaches to research valorization. The event also provided a valuable opportunity for attendees to exchange ideas and build networks during an informal networking session.

This event marked another significant step by NSTDA in strengthening the capacity of Thai researchers to manage IP professionally and enhance the global impact of Thailand’s research outputs.
