Thailand’s Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI), through the Thailand Institute of Life Sciences and the National Innovation Agency (NIA), together with the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), led a delegation to WHX Dubai 2026 (World Health Expo, formerly Arab Health) to promote Thai medical and health innovations and strengthen Thailand’s positioning as a Global Medical Innovation Hub while expanding market and partnership opportunities in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).

Held at Expo City Dubai, the mission featured a Thailand Pavilion, business matching, seminars, and study visits, connecting Thai innovators with global hospitals, investors, distributors, and health tech partners.

During the Thailand seminar session, Prof. Dr. Sukit Limpijumnong, President of NSTDA, delivered a keynote presentation on “Thailand’s Life Sciences Fast Track: The Infrastructure to Build, Validate, and Go-to-Market,” highlighting Thailand’s capabilities and enabling infrastructure that help innovators move from development to validation and international market entry.

As part of the delegation’s programme, NSTDA participated in a Dubai Visit for Study to Dubai Healthcare City (DHCC), a pioneering healthcare free zone established in 2002, engaging with relevant stakeholders to exchange insights on healthcare ecosystem development, policy enablers, and potential partnership models.

NSTDA views this mission as an important step in strengthening Thailand’s international innovation diplomacy linking Thai R&D and health innovation capabilities with global networks and accelerating pathways for collaboration, clinical validation, investment, and market expansion in one of the world’s fastest-growing health-tech regions.
