On 2nd February 2025, researchers from the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA) received a total of 33 National Research Awards at Thailand Inventors’ Day 2025, held at BITEC Bangna, Bangkok. The event is organized annually by the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT) under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI).

Professor Dr. Sukit Limpijumnong, President of NSTDA, together with NSTDA executives, attended the ceremony to congratulate researchers from NSTDA’s national centers who were honored with a total of 33 National Research Awards across all NRCT categories, including National Outstanding Researcher Awards, Research Awards, Thesis Awards and Invention Awards. These achievements reflect NSTDA’s strong role in advancing Thailand’s research and innovation capacity.

Awarded works from NSTDA span a wide range of disciplines and application areas — from advanced materials, modern manufacturing and transport systems to high-performance polymers and other cutting-edge technologies — demonstrating how NSTDA’s research outputs can be translated into solutions and applications that support sustainable industry, resource efficiency and enhanced competitiveness for Thai enterprises.

Thailand Inventors’ Day 2025 was held from 2–6 February 2025 under the theme “Thai Inventions and Innovations: The Challenges of Thailand”, serving as a national and international platform to showcase more than a thousand inventions and innovations. The event also commemorates the historic granting of the patent for the Chaipattana Aerator to His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great, recognised as the “Father of Thai Invention”.

Through these achievements, NSTDA continues to demonstrate its mission to transform scientific research into tangible innovations that address national challenges and enhance the quality of life for the Thai people.
