18 August 2026 – The National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA) has expanded the Food and Functional Ingredients Service Platform (FoodSERP) with the launch of three new services—PxSERP, FlavorSERP and PetSERP—under the theme “Wellness for All: Better Living for People and Pets.” The expansion is intended to support Thai SMEs in developing higher-value products for the growing human and pet health markets, while reinforcing Thailand’s transition toward an innovation-driven economy.

The new services broaden FoodSERP’s role as a platform that links research, technology and innovation with industrial application. By connecting scientific capabilities with business needs, the platform supports product development, value creation and the commercialization of research for sectors with strong growth potential in health, wellness and functional food.
PxSERP focuses on precision nutrition and metabolomics to support the development of targeted health and nutrition solutions. FlavorSERP applies flavor innovation to strengthen product identity and improve market differentiation. PetSERP is designed to support the development of high-standard pet products in response to rising demand in the pet care and pet wellness market.
The expansion reflects growing opportunities in Thailand’s wellness economy, valued at approximately 1.5 trillion baht, and in the pet market, which has reached around 100 billion baht. These trends are increasingly driven by preventive healthcare, healthy longevity and demand for science-based products that deliver clear functional benefits.
Over the past two years, FoodSERP has supported more than 1,000 Thai entrepreneurs and contributed to the delivery of innovative products to over 2 million consumers nationwide. Its activities have generated an estimated 8.9 billion baht in economic impact, demonstrating the platform’s role in translating research into practical outcomes for industry and society.

The launch event featured examples of product innovations developed through collaboration among NSTDA, partner organizations and SMEs. These included MA-BEEDEE, a medical food product formulated as a complete nutritional supplement or meal replacement; PRO BILAC, a probiotic dietary supplement produced using advanced microbial production technology; Dr. Agei, a cosmeceutical skincare product developed from bioactive ingredients; and Bio Mousse and Dentalwell Fresh Mouthwash, award-winning hygiene products incorporating postbiotic extracts for daily health applications.
Through the continued development of FoodSERP, NSTDA is strengthening the national innovation ecosystem and expanding opportunities for Thai enterprises to access specialized research and technology services. The platform is expected to play an increasingly important role in supporting product innovation, enhancing competitiveness and creating sustainable value in Thailand’s food, health and wellness industries.
