The National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), through the Thailand Center of Excellence for Electric Vehicles (TECE), together with the Research and Human Resource Training Center for Industry (RTCI), King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok (KMUTNB), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to cooperate in research and development cooperation on “Electric Vehicle Technology and Skills Development in Electric Vehicles and Sustainable Battery Management for Personnel in the Education and Industrial Sectors.”

The signing ceremony was presided over by Dr. Sumittra Charojrochkul, Director of TECE, NSTDA, and Executive Director of the National Energy Technology Center (ENTEC), alongside Ms. Piyachat Kriwanit Burton, Director of the Area-Based and Human Capital Development Division of the Eastern Economic Corridor of Innovation (EECi).

TECE, NSTDA, in collaboration with KMUTNB, will lead initiatives to develop the workforce and enhance the skills of personnel in the automotive industry, including entrepreneurs, students, and trainees. The program will focus on fundamental knowledge of electric vehicle operation and maintenance, with particular emphasis on critical components such as electric drive motors, utilizing knowledge from the National Electronics and Computer Technology Center (NECTEC). Additionally, safe and sustainable battery management will be implemented using expertise of the National Energy Technology Center (ENTEC), covering inspection, maintenance, and end-of-life battery management for electric vehicles.
