(11 June 2025), at Room 405, 4th floor, Thailand Science Park Convention Center, Khlong Luang, Pathum Thani: Dr. Adisorn Tuantranont, Executive Vice President, Science and Technology Infrastructure Services, presided over the seminar titled “Combating the New Global Trade Crisis with Standardized Analysis and Testing System: NQI’s Role by NSTDA.

The event was attended by Dr. Kraison Aunchaleevarapan, Director of the Electronical and Electronic Products Testing Center (PTEC); Dr. Natthaphon Wuttiphan, Director of NSTDA Characterization and Testing Service Center (NCTC); Mrs. Savittree Kongkeatvanit, Director of Industrial Ceramic and Houseware Product Testing Center (CTEC); Dr. Rawiwan Maniratanachote, Acting Director of Toxicology and Bio Evaluation Service Center (TBES); and Mr. Woravit Chanseeharach, Acting Director of NSTDA Fabrication and Engineering Service Division (NFED), who provided information and welcomed participants for a laboratory visit.

Dr. Adisorn Tuantranont stated: “We are pleased to organize this seminar on ‘Tackling the New Global Trade Crisis with Standardized Analysis and Testing System: NQI’s Role by NSTDA.’ This marks the first time we have held a joint NQI infrastructure event to gather the needs of our industrial clients and to design services that help Thai industries cope with this challenging economic climate.”

The event aims to is to help businesses particularly small and medium enterprises, navigate the ongoing economic crisis by developing service packages, improving access to funding and upskilling their workforce. The participants were able to share their experiences and exchange ideas about related activities – including applying science and technology to create innovation – in order to align their products with technology trends, innovation strategies, and the direction of the world’s economic and trade policy. Furthermore, the event raised awareness of NSTDA’s roles and significant in strengthening the country’s quality Infrastructure (NQI), to support innovators  and businesses in developing innovators and growing sustainably, thereby contributing to a robust Innovation Ecosystem.

During the event, the following services were presented:

  • Medical Device Product Testing according to international and FDA standards by PTEC.
  • Analysis and Testing Services to enhance industrial competitiveness under the framework of ISO/IEC 17025 by NCTC.
  • Food Contact Product Safety Tests by CTEC.
  • Biological Safety and Efficacy Tests for Healthcare and Medical Devices by TBES.
  • Design and Development Services for Engineering Product Prototypes by NFED.

Additionally, participants were given the opportunity to tour the scientific and technological infrastructure and equipment up close and to directly exchange knowledge and experiences with researchers and engineers.
