On July, 23 2025, Prof. Dr. Sukit Limpijumnong, President of the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), was invited as a keynote speaker at the Joint Conference in Medical Sciences 2025 (JCMS 2025). He delivered a special lecture titled “Harmony in Health: Innovation for Sustainable Medicine: MHESI Perspective.”, sharing insights and perspectives of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI) on the development of sustainable medical innovation
The event was co-hosted by four leading medical schools - Chulalongkorn, Ramathibodi, Siriraj, and Thammasat Universities in celebration of the 125th anniversary of the Birth of Her Royal Highness Princess Srinagarindra. The conference was held under the theme “Harmony in Health: Innovating for Sustainable Medicine” at Centara Grand Hotel, Bangkok, Convention Center at Central World, Bangkok.
In his address, Prof. Dr. Sukit Limpijumnong emphasized MHESI’s role in advancing Thailand’s healthcare systems. He highlighted the importance of integrating science, technology, and innovative to enhance the country’s medical research and health products, aiming to meet both national and global health need. This strategics approach not only strengthens the economy, but also address long-term healthcare challenge-such as the development of AI-driven medicine, precision medicine, the promotion of collaboration among government, private sector and academia.
He reiterated MHESI’s commitment to acting as a “central mechanism” linking “knowledge - expertise - Innovation” to elevate public health sustainably and drive Thailand beyond the middle-income trap through a knowledge-based economy.
JCMS 2025 was held from July 23 - 25 2025, with the aim of providing a platform for sharing visions from leading national and international experts and fostering collaboration to promote public health through academic excellence. The conference also featured research presentations in medicine and public health, a Medical Tournament among students from the four institutions, a royal exhibition in honor of Princess Srinagarindra, and a public forum titled “Healthy Living in the 4-Institute Health Innovation District.”
