Thailand Science Park, Pathum Thani– 24 June 2025
The National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), in collaboration with EURAXESS Worldwide, successfully hosted the "Horizon Europe Information Session: The New Strategic Plan 2025–2027" on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at Thailand Science Park.

The event aimed to raise awareness and build capacity for ASEAN researchers to engage with Horizon Europe — the European Union’s flagship research and innovation programme.

Dr. Uracha Ruktanonchai, Executive Director of the National Nanotechnology Center (NANOTEC), delivered the opening remarks. She emphasized the strategic importance of international collaboration in science and technology and reaffirmed NSTDA’s commitment to fostering global partnerships. “Engaging with Horizon Europe allows our researchers to benchmark their expertise against international standards and contribute to solving global challenges,” she said.

The keynote presentation was delivered by Dr. K.R.M.H. Tatas H.P. Brotosudarmo, EURAXESS Worldwide Representative for ASEAN. His talk covered the structure and priorities of the Horizon Europe Work Programmes for 2025–2027, highlighting key clusters such as the Green Deal, Digital Transition, and Health. He also shared practical insights into forming consortia, navigating the EU portal, and maximizing support from EURAXESS and National Contact Points.

A key segment of the session focused on ASEAN participation, with a special emphasis on engagement from countries such as Laos PDR, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, and Thailand. Participants gained valuable guidance on eligibility, funding mechanisms, and how to collaborate effectively with EU partners.

This event forms part of NSTDA’s ongoing efforts to promote internationalization and provide Thai and ASEAN researchers with the tools to thrive in the global research landscape.
