NSTDA President Dr. Narong Sirilertworakul announced at the press conference on 17 November 2020 that NSTDA will be hosting THAILAND TECH SHOW 2020 from 2-4 December 2020. This year’s event will be held in a fully virtual format in order to mitigate congestion of people and ensure the safety of participants amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

THAILAND TECH SHOW is an annual event aimed at showcasing inventions developed and services offered by Thai academic and research institutes to potential investors, tech entrepreneurs, startups, SMEs and corporates. Held under the theme “Technologies and Innovations for Investment in The New Normal”, THAILAND TECH SHOW 2020 will feature nearly 300 innovations from over 40 local and international agencies with the focus on Bio-Circular-Green Economy (BCG), a new economic model emphasizing sustainable agriculture, clean energy and responsible consumption and production, ensuring the conservation and sustainable utilization of biodiversity, and protecting environment and ecosystem. The fair’s activities will also include seminar, one-on-one business matching and technology licensing opportunities.

Exciting innovations to be presented at the fair include HybridSure: seed purity test, PETE: foldable negative pressure patient transportation chamber, innovative air cleaner, COXY-AMP: COVID-19 test kit, Smart-BIOact: Intelligent software for evaluating a microorganism’s potential in producing a desired bioproduct, Amazing Rubber Paint: fabric paint produced from rubber latex, AGV UV-C Cobot: UVC disinfection robot, PSU COVID-19: COVID-19 antibody test kit, radio frequency dry blanching technology for dried herb production, Activ-Pack-19: antimicrobial food packaging film and Optibot: container load optimization software.

THAILAND TECH SHOW 2020 will have a virtual opening ceremony on 2 December presided over by Prof. Dr. Anek Laothamatas, Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI). The function will feature “10 Technologies to Watch” presentation by NSTDA President Dr. Narong Sirilertworakul, Investment Pitching and a special seminar on business trends under the new normal.
