On 11 March 2019, NSTDA hosted an orientation for 87 students selected to participate in the 2019 NSTDA Summer Student Program. This is the second year NSTDA offers high-school students opportunities to participate in the research activities in four NSTDA research centers, namely NECTEC, BIOTEC, MTEC and NANOTEC. Students will
gain experience working with NSTDA scientists, performing tasks and experiments in professional laboratory environment. The program aims to inspire students to further their education in scientific field and become part of STI workforce.
Welcoming the students at the orientation was Dr. Chadamas Thuvasethakul, NSTDA Executive Vice President. The 2019 NSTDA Summer Student Program lasts for 9 weeks, until 10 May 2019.
