NSTDA, Thailand Center of Excellence for Life Sciences (TCELS) and Thailand Science Research and Innovation (TSRI) – three Thai member organizations of e-Asia Joint Research Program (JRP) – co-hosted the 8th Annual e-Asia JRP Board Meeting on 5-6 September 2019 at Hilton Sukhumvit Bangkok, Thailand. e-Asia JRP provides fund to support international joint research projects in the East Asian Region on the multilateral basis as well as promotes researchers’ interaction through workshops. The meeting was attended by the Board Members and representatives from fourteen member organizations from ten countries and members of the Scientific Advisory Committee. The Board discussed management matters, approved proposals received from the 8th Call for Proposals and made decision on the framework of the 9th Call for Proposals.
Prior to the Board Meeting, NSTDA and TCELS co-hosted Precision Medicine Workshop on 4 September to facilitate collaboration and initiate proposal development for the future e-ASIA JRP call. The workshop was attended by 100 participants from East Asian region, with speakers from academic and research organizations, namely National Institute of Health (NIH), RIKEN, Nagoya University, Jichi Medical University, Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (Philippines), Ho Chi Minh City International University, Hanoi University of Pharmacy, Mahidol University, Chulalongkorn University and HRH Princess Chulabhorn College of Medical Science.
