NSTDA and Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to promote technology and innovation development. The MOU was among six agreements between Thailand and Hong Kong concluded on 29 November 2019. The signing ceremony was witnessed by Hong Kong Chief Executive Carrie Lam and Thai Deputy Prime Minister Somkid Jatusripitak.

Signed by NSTDA President Dr. Narong Sirilertworakul and HKSTP Chairman Dr. Sunny Chai, the MOU provides a framework for the two parties to promote the cooperation between technological companies, startups and enterprises of Hong Kong and Thailand through programs and activities such as joint incubation, pitching competitions, and matching and demonstration events.

As one of its responsibilities to support innovation hubs, NSTDA currently manages Thailand Science Park, Software Park Thailand and Food Innopolis. It also supports the administration of three regional science parks located in the north, northeast and south of Thailand, as well as leading the establishment of the Eastern Economic Corridor of Innovation (EECi), a new innovation hub aiming to boost the new growth engine, which is expected to complete its first phase construction in 2021.
