The National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), Thailand, TASTEBUD LAB, Bio Buddy, and Future Food Network will be hosting a webinar and online future food Ideation collaboration Workshop on “How Might We Co-create Sustainable Alternative Proteins for Asia-pacific Countries” on 29 August 2022. This webinar is part of seminar series of Asia and the Pacific Regional Dialogue on Science and Technology for a Sustainable Food System. As Thailand is the host of APEC2022, the main messages and recommendations for action at the regional level as conclusions reached in this dialogue series will be summarized in a meeting report. This outcome will be presented at the APEC Tech to Biz which will be held in Bangkok during 10-12 October 2022. On behalf of NSTDA, TASTEBUD LAB, BIO BUDDY, and Future Food Network, we are delighted to invite you to participate in this webinar on Monday 29 August 2022 at 01.00 – 04.30 P.M. (GMT+7).

This webinar aims to develop regional sustainable alternative proteins value chain design by addressing the role of alternative proteins to transform food systems toward greater sustainability and balance in economics, social, and environmental dimensions. Furthermore, it is also expected to foster the development of a regional collaboration platform program on sustainable alternative proteins Therefore, this event is expected to foster actions to end hunger, achieve food security, and improve nutrition by 2030.

Please be informed that this is a webinar with breakout rooms covering three different research areas: Plant-based Proteins, Fermentation & Cultured Meat and New Sources (e.g., mushrooms-based, fungi, water plants, and algae). Participants are required to select their preferred room during the registration process for effective communication purposes.
