On August 15, 2025, the National Energy Technology Center (ENTEC), National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), led by Dr. Peerawat Saisirirat, Team Leader of the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Research Team, Low Carbon Energy Research Group, together with Dr. Yuji Yoshimura, ENTEC’s visiting Senior Researcher, Dr. Suparoek Henpraserttae, Project Researcher, and the research team, delivered 800 liters of H-FAME, a premium-grade biodiesel, to Thai Obayashi Corp., Ltd. for practical field testing in heavy duty vehicles such as loaders and motor graders. The handover of premium biodiesel “H-FAME” was graciously witnessed by Mr. Hironori Kawamura, Chief Representative for the Asian Region, New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO), together with his delegation.
Premium Biodiesel H-FAME was further developed by the National Energy Technology Center (ENTEC), NSTDA, under the research project “Demonstration of 100% High-Quality Biodiesel Production and Field Testing in Thailand”, funded by the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO), Japan. H-FAME is a next-generation biofuel with enhanced durability and longer oxidation stability compared to conventional biodiesel, enabling extended shelf life and compatibility with modern diesel engines. H-FAME biodiesel also promotes cleaner energy by reducing particulate matter (PM) emissions, and lowering greenhouse gas emissions by approximately 50%, supporting national efforts toward pollution reduction and sustainable development. In addition, field testing data collected by leading enterprises is expected to build confidence among users in adopting H-FAME as a 100% biofuel (B100). This development underscores its potential as a carbon-neutral fuel and a key contributor to sustainable energy practices for the future.
