Dr. Udom Sae-Ueng, Researcher from BIOTEC-NSTDA, was crowned the winner of Falling Walls Lab Thailand 2019 – a science communication contest organized by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and partners – on 8 September 2019. He impressed the jury with his presentation on “Breaking the Wall of Pathogenic Bacteria”. As the winner of Falling Walls Lab Thailand, Udom will compete in the global Lab Finale and attend the Falling Walls Conference in Berlin in November 2019, as well as receive the EURAXESS prize to visit a research lab or university of his or her choice in Europe.

Udom recently gave an interview to EURAXESS, discussing his exciting research of utilizing naturally-found virus to control plant pathogens and his plan to visit research facilities in Europe.
