Networking event: infectious diseases relevant to Southeast Asia was held between 20-22 February 2024 at Centara Grand at Central Plaza Ladprao, Bangkok. The event - which was co-hosted by NSTDA in cooperation with Medical Research Council (MRC), UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) and Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) from 20th - 22nd February 2024 at Centara Grand at Central Plaza Ladprao in Bangkok.

This event aimed to strengthen and expand infectious diseases research networks between the UK and Southeast Asia partner countries and facilitate the formation of multi-country teams with researchers from the UK and Southeast Asia investigators to work on infectious diseases as well as stimulate early idea generation in relevant topics in preparation for the upcoming funding opportunity. More than 100 researchers representative of the UK and Southeast Asia countries involved in this event. It is aimed at researchers working in areas related to infectious diseases with epidemic (emerging and zoonotic infections) and AMR potential.
