On March 21, Mr. Permsuk Saccato, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI), presided over the opening ceremony of the "Diplomatic Role for International Cooperation in Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation 2024" under the theme "Science and Technology for a Sustainable Future" at the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA).
The delegation was chosen to join one of five groups to visit NSTDA' Research Centers. This was an opportunity to promote research and showcase the capabilities of laboratories in Thailand to diplomatic representatives, and to create a starting point for research cooperation with international organizations.
On this occasion, ambassadors and representatives from 26 embassies in Thailand and more than 120 MHESI agencies visited the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA) before traveling to Nakhon Ratchasima Province to visit the Lam Ta Klong Research Station, the Synchrotron Light Research Institute (Public Organization), the Lower Northeastern Science Park, and to see the Innovation-Driven Entrepreneurship (IDE) exhibition and the Petrified Wood Museum under the Khorat Geopark. The event was held from March 21-22, 2024 in Pathum Thani and Nakhon Ratchasima provinces.
