The NAC 2026 Conference, held at Thailand Science Park, focuses on the role of wood and bamboo as sustainable construction materials in supporting global sustainability. Key activities include keynote speeches by experts from the Nordic countries, the People’s Republic of China, and sustainability specialists, addressing successful policies in the timber sector, bamboo construction practices, and lessons learned from both national and international collaborative projects. In addition, panel discussions with Thai and international experts explore opportunities and future prospects for wood-based construction in Thailand.

The primary objectives of the conference are to facilitate knowledge exchange on policies and technologies related to wood and bamboo, promote the practical implementation of sustainable natural materials in the construction industry, reduce environmental impacts, and drive Thailand toward innovative green building practices. The conference features case studies,

discussions on economic opportunities, and collaborative forums that link Thailand with international partners in the development of environmentally friendly construction materials.

Expected outcomes include the establishment of expert networks and the development of new policies that support the application of wood and bamboo in construction, increased awareness of the benefits of alternative natural materials, reduced carbon emissions, and the advancement of sustainable development in Thailand.

การประชุม NAC 2026 ซึ่งจัดขึ้น ณ อุทยานวิทยาศาสตร์ประเทศไทย มุ่งเน้นบทบาทของไม้และไผ่ในฐานะวัสดุก่อสร้างที่ยั่งยืนเพื่อสนับสนุนเป้าหมายด้านความยั่งยืนระดับโลก กิจกรรมสำคัญประกอบด้วยการบรรยายพิเศษโดยผู้เชี่ยวชาญจากกลุ่มประเทศนอร์ดิก สาธารณรัฐประชาชนจีน และผู้ทรงคุณวุฒิด้านการพัฒนาอย่างยั่งยืน ซึ่งนำเสนอประเด็นด้านนโยบายความสำเร็จในภาคอุตสาหกรรมไม้ แนวปฏิบัติด้านการก่อสร้างด้วยไผ่ และบทเรียนที่ได้รับจากโครงการความร่วมมือทั้งในระดับประเทศและระดับนานาชาติ นอกจากนี้ ยังมีเวทีเสวนาแลกเปลี่ยนความคิดเห็นระหว่างผู้เชี่ยวชาญทั้งในประเทศและต่างประเทศ เพื่อหารือถึงโอกาสและแนวโน้มของการก่อสร้างด้วยวัสดุไม้ในประเทศไทย

วัตถุประสงค์หลักของการประชุม คือ เพื่อแลกเปลี่ยนองค์ความรู้ด้านนโยบายและเทคโนโลยีเกี่ยวกับไม้และไผ่ ส่งเสริมการนำวัสดุธรรมชาติที่ยั่งยืนไปใช้จริงในอุตสาหกรรมก่อสร้าง ลดผลกระทบต่อสิ่งแวดล้อม และขับเคลื่อนประเทศไทยสู่การพัฒนาอาคารเขียวเชิงนวัตกรรม การประชุมครอบคลุมการนำเสนอกรณีศึกษา โอกาสทางเศรษฐกิจ และเวทีความร่วมมือ ซึ่งเชื่อมโยงประเทศไทยกับพันธมิตรนานาชาติในการพัฒนาวัสดุที่เป็นมิตรต่อสิ่งแวดล้อม
