An increase in CO2 emission in the atmosphere, which is causing global warming, is a global concern that requires urgent solutions to achieve net-zero emissions.

Therefore, carbon neutrality will require the rapid employment of new technologies for CO2 Capturing and Utilizing (CCU) in industrial production processes. Since CCU technology is expensive in industrial-scale implementation, investment in this technology has been declined for years. However, due to stricter climate targets and investment incentives worldwide, CCU has gained attention recently and is considered the best way for decarbonization.

In response to the global warming concern, the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), as a national science and technology research agency in Thailand, is hosting an International Webinar on 30 March 2022 to review the current status of global CCU technology. This webinar is one of many sessions embedded in the NSTDA Annual Conference 2022 (NAC2022) and will be organized via the Cisco WebEx platform. The session will bring together experts and researchers from academia and industry to present, share the current situation, and discuss the solutions for this complex problem.
