Proteomics

Infrastructure in the Proteomics Research Laboratory is centered around state-of-the-art mass spectrometry for identification, characterization, and quantitation of target peptides or proteins or proteomes. The facility is equipped with two mass spectrometer systems: AB SCIEX TripleTOF® 6600+ and JEOL SpiralTOF™ S3000.

Protein identification

Our services use a nanoLC-MS/MS to perform protein identification, proteome profiling, and post-translational modification analysis of proteins from cell, tissue, biological fluids, and purified protein samples. Samples can be in-solution or in-gel bands. Please contact us for more information on sample submission.
Instrument: TripleTOF® 6600+ (SCIEX)

Quantitative proteomics

We provide a comparative analysis of protein expression under defined conditions to understand protein dynamics in samples ranging from microorganisms, plants to human using label-free quantitative proteomics via SWATH-MS acquisition.
Instrument: TripleTOF® 6600+ (SCIEX)

De novo peptide sequencing

Using a nanoLC-MS/MS, this service provides amino acid sequence determination of proteins or peptides without prior knowledge of the protein sequence. This technique is useful for sequencing of proteins and peptides that are known in available databases.
Instrument: TripleTOF® 6600+ (SCIEX)

Molecular weight distribution

To help understand the composition and properties of your samples, we can provide accurate molecular weight distributions of your protein or hydrolysate samples using the innovative MALDI SpiralTOF.
Instrument: JMS-S3000 SpiralTOFTM (JEOL)

Peptide synthesis

We offer custom peptide synthesis of peptides up to 27 amino acids in length using the Liberty Blue™ Automated Microwave Peptide Synthesize.
Instrument: Liberty Blue™ (CEM)
