Most of our work focuses on developing genomic and transcriptomic resources for studying agronomic traits in economic species (rubber tree, oil palm, sugarcane, vegetables, black tiger shrimp). We employ the genotyping-by-sequencing technology to discover and genotype single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) markers for marker-trait association analyses. We also develop SNP markers for marker-assisted breeding programs in various economic crops. Additionally, we are interested in utilizing proteomics approaches such as mass spectrometry as an investigative tool for analyzing plant stress-response signaling to aid in uncovering potential stress-responsive biomarkers in economic crops.
