EmbeePay available in Thailand

Mobile search and advertising solutions provider Mobile Content Networks Inc (MCN) and Embee Mobile, a leading eCommerce provider for mobile service and content, today jointly announced the launch of EmbeePay Thailand, following the success of the service in several  key markets.

"Not only is this a huge market, Thailand is also a quality market that welcomes the new and innovative - in other words, fast adopters. Therefore, MCN joins hands with Embee Mobile to launch this new service in the Thai market," said Marc Bookman, chief executive officer of MCN. The number of internet users in Thailand last year rose to over 20 million people, according to a survey by the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA) and the Internet Innovation Research Centre. This continuous double digit growth also supported the growth of Thai facebook users and made Thailand one of the most promising markets. The statistics  on "Growth of Asian countries on Facebook" from www.socialbakers.com also showed that Thai facebook users grew by 53.89 per cent in the first half of 2011 with more than 10 million users in June 2011.         

The service supports users of three mobile phone networks - AIS, True and Dtac. Montri Verayangkura, managing director of MCN, added that the Asia Digital Marketing Association's data shows that more  than 85 per cent of the online population in Thailand uses social network sites, such as Facebook several times a week. On average these users spend over 7 hours a week on social networking sites which is the highest in the Asia Pacific Region.        "With great benefits which consumers can get with a relatively small time investment, MCN is confident that EmbeePay Thailand will be popular among Thai facebook users and targets to reach 2 million registered users within 2013," The service can be accessed for free at http://bit.ly/embee-thailand.
