Achara Deboonme's article is accurate. Small and Medium-sized Enterprises must take initiatives and not wait for handouts from the government. Science and technology is an area that can help SMEs. Various research agencies within Nstda, such as Nanotec, have research schemes that help boost SMEs' capabilities. In addition, these research agencies have network partners that SMEs can utilise. After all, it is the public tax money that is funding these agencies, so we might as well make the most of their services.
