Greetings!

The ASEAN Centre for Biodiversity (ACB), together with the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources (KeTSA) Malaysia as host, is pleased to announce that the ASEAN Conference on Biodiversity 2020 (ACB 2020) is going virtual.

With the overarching theme Towards 2050: Living in Harmony with Nature, the ACB 2020 is launching a series of virtual sessions that will be held monthly in the run-up to a physical conference to be held in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia in 2021. The series commenced with its kick-off virtual session, “The ASEAN-CBD Virtual Dialogue on the Post-2020 Global Biodiversity Framework,” last 23 September 2020.

The fourth virtual session of the ACB 2020 on “Business and Biodiversity” will provide recommendations on how businesses can integrate sustainability measures contributing to biodiversity conservation. Further, the session will present perspectives and ways forward from the ASEAN Member States, private sector, and key stakeholders in providing clearer steps that need to be taken to reach the 2050 Vision for Biodiversity: Living in Harmony with Nature.

It will also be an opportunity to encourage the ASEAN governments, non-government entities, as well as other sectors of society to share best practices, to share and gather insights, and give recommendations that would increase visibility and strengthen the ASEAN’s position in the upcoming CBD COP 15.

On this account, we are pleased to invite you to join us for the fourth virtual session of the ACB 2020. The event will be held on 10 December, 10:00 - 12:00 (GMT+8/Singapore Time), via Zoom.
