\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0On 28 November 2025, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI), through the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), marked a significant milestone in advancing Thailand\u2019s scientific infrastructure with the OECD Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) certification of the Toxicology and Bio Evaluation Service Center (TBES-NSTDA).<\/p>

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 The Bureau of Laboratory Standards, Department of Medical Sciences, Ministry of Public Health, awarded TBES a Certificate of Compliance to the OECD Principles of Good Laboratory Practice in toxicology studies. This achievement reinforces Thailand\u2019s commitment to international laboratory standards and supports the nation\u2019s aspiration to become a full member of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).<\/p>

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0As a core facility under NSTDA, TBES plays a pivotal role in pre-clinical safety testing for health and medical products\u2014including cosmetics, herbal products, medical devices, and household chemicals. The OECD GLP certification underscores Thailand\u2019s growing scientific and technological capabilities to conduct globally recognized safety testing. It also strengthens confidence in the country\u2019s safety assessment systems while enhancing economic competitiveness and the long-term sustainability of Thailand\u2019s scientific and technological ecosystem.<\/p>

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Operating in full compliance with OECD GLP and with a strong focus on alternative methods to animal testing, TBES generates accurate, reliable, and internationally accepted safety data. Test results from TBES are recognized both domestically and internationally, eliminating the need for duplicate testing. This efficiency reduces both time and costs for Thai enterprises, while contributing to the sustainable growth of the bio-economy and health-related industries.<\/p>
