Researchers from the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA) unveiled the study on the “Feasibility Study on Applications of Green Hydrogen to Railways in Thailand” <\/strong>during an online seminar titled “Hydrogen Railway Dissemination Workshop” hosted by GIZ (the Deutsche Gesellschaft f\u00fcr Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH)<\/a>\u00a0 <\/i>on March 7, 2024.<\/p>\n

This collaborative initiative, spearheaded by the Rail and Modern Transports Research Group (RMT), National Metal and Materials Technology Center (MTEC)<\/a> in partnership with National Energy Technology Center (ENTEC)<\/a>, along with support from the German-Thai Railway Association Meeting (GTRA)<\/a>, funded by GIZ through the\u00a0<\/span>International Hydrogen Ramp-Up Programme (H2Uppp)<\/a> , aims to produce a comprehensive white paper.<\/span><\/p>\n

The white paper will address crucial aspects such as technology, safety, standardization, policy, regulations, and the economic and environmental implications of integrating green-hydrogen technology into Thailand’s rail transport sector. This project seeks to provide actionable insights into implementing sustainable transportation solutions in the country.<\/p>\n
