(1 April 2025, Chomphon Sarit Thanarat Conference Room, NRCT Building 1, 2nd Floor, National Research Council of Thailand)<\/em> Professor Sukit Limpijumnong, President of the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), together with Dr. Chularat Tanprasert, Deputy Executive Director of NSTDA, led the Policy Research Team, Thailand Science Park Communication Team, and NSTDA Public Relations Team to receive two Creative Communication Innovation Awards at the Commu Max Competition from Dr. Wiparat De-Ong, Executive Director of the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The awards were presented under the \u201cCommunication Innovation Sandbox Extension for Public Policy Project (Phase 2),\u201d supported by the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT) and implemented by Thammasat University. This year, NSTDA received two awards for its creative short-form video productions, including the Outstanding Engagement Excellence Award for \u201cThailand\u2019s Food Bank\u201d and the First Runner-Up Award for Outstanding Research Communication for \u201cInnovation Grows@TSP.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These awards reflect NSTDA\u2019s commitment to utilizing creative communication to effectively convey science, technology, innovation, and public policy initiatives to society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The award-winning short video \u201cThailand\u2019s Food Bank\u201d was jointly produced by NSTDA\u2019s Public Relations Division, the NSTDA Policy Research Team working on the Thailand\u2019s Food Bank initiative, and PMG Corporation Co., Ltd. The video was designed to raise public awareness, foster positive attitudes toward the initiative, and encourage participation in surplus food donation activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The campaign highlighted the impactful message:
\u201cDid you know? One-third of the food produced in Thailand is wasted without being utilized.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This message reflects the reality that, while many people continue to face food insecurity, vast quantities of surplus food are discarded as waste. Thailand\u2019s Food Bank initiative seeks to transform this challenge through an efficient food management system that redistributes resources more effectively, reduces food waste, and minimizes environmental impacts for the benefit of both Thai society and the planet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The success of the campaign demonstrated excellence in engaging target audiences, including food donors and local communities, in an effective and meaningful way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The short video \u201cInnovation Grows@TSP: Great Innovations Happen Every Day\u201d was created by the Thailand Science Park Team and NSTDA\u2019s Public Relations Division. The video presents the services and capabilities of Thailand Science Park (TSP) as a comprehensive innovation ecosystem and one of the country\u2019s leading centers for research and innovation development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The story was conveyed through the perspectives of tenant companies operating within Thailand Science Park that drive their businesses through technology and innovation, while receiving support from TSP in various forms. These include technology consultation and transfer services provided by researchers from NSTDA\u2019s national technology centers, testing and analytical services using internationally standardized equipment and facilities, and innovation development support measures across multiple areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The video reinforces the concept that \u201cGreat Innovations Happen Every Day\u201d while emphasizing NSTDA\u2019s important role, through the operations of Thailand Science Park, in connecting collaborative networks and driving the sustainable growth of Thailand\u2019s innovation ecosystem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Commu Max Competition is supported by the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT) and implemented by Thammasat University under the \u201cCommunication Innovation Sandbox Extension for Public Policy Project (Phase 2).\u201d The initiative aims to provide opportunities and a platform for government agencies with outstanding achievements in policy communication through social media and digital communication platforms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
