On 3 September 2018, NSTDA, Choknamchai Hitech Pressing Company Limited and Sakun C Innovation signed a Memorandum of Understanding to carry out research and development to design the next generation vehicles, as well as manpower development in this field. Both Choknamchai Hitech Pressing and Sakun C Innovation are part of CNC Group, the largest die maker in Thailand.

NSTDA along with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA Thailand), Office of Small and Medium Enterprise Promotion and Central Laboratory (Thailand) Co., Ltd. recently organized Primary GMP Day 2018 on 20 August 2018 at Central Plaza Chaengwattana. The consortium of four organizations has been implementing a capacity building program on primary GMP in the food SMEs.

On 19 August 2018, Dr. Suvit Maesincee, Minister of Science and Technology, visited Thasae Cooperative in Chumphon province. NSTDA has been implementing four projects with Thasae Coop under the Innovation and Technology Assistance Program (ITAP) since 2017. On hand to welcome Minister Suvit were Dr. Thitapha Smitinont, NSTDA Executive Vice President, and president and members of Thasae Coop.

Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) recently hosted THAI TECH EXPO 2018 on 4-8 July 2018 at Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre (BITEC).  The 5-day event aimed to showcase latest innovations, drawn from 15 agencies affiliated to or networking with MOST, which can play a major role in supporting Thai industry to achieve Thailand 4.0 vision.

NSTDA and the National Innovation Agency (NIA) recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Huawei Technologies to collaborate on research and innovation.
