National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA) and Thailand Center of Excellence for Life Science (TCELS) are the member organizations under the e-ASIA Joint Research Program (JRP). The e-ASIA JRP is a multilateral matching-fund program that seeks to realize innovative and robust economies and societies in East Asia, by pursuing state-of-the-art technologies as well as solutions to common issues, such as those concerning the environment, natural disaster prevention and infectious diseases. In doing so, it also aims to strengthen R&D capabilities across the East Asian region.
In principle, each Member Organization funds the researchers in its own country to conduct multilateral international joint research and promote researchers interaction.
Thailand are committed to funding health research that addresses the major health problems in our countries and in the Asia-Pacific region. With this regards NSTDA and TCELS are jointly hosting a workshop to explore research needs, and to foster collaborative partnerships among scientists in our region with expertise in non-infectious diseases and infectious diseases research.
Objectives of the Workshop:
1. facilitating collaboration and initiating proposal development for the current e-ASIA JRP call in face-to-face discussion, and
2. providing information on the e-ASIA JRP with the Call for proposal, research theme, criteria for the grant, etc.
