Dr. Ladawan Krasachol

Dr. Ladawan Krasachol earned her B.S. and M.S. in Marine Science from Chulalongkorn University. In 1995, Dr. Krasachol received a scholarship from the Thai government to pursue a Ph.D. in Quality Management at the University of Nottingham, England.
Dr. Krasachol started her professional life as a researcher in a mangrove forest research project at the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT), and subsequently as an environmental scholar at the National Environment Board. In 1991, Dr. Krasachol joined the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA) as a scholar of standards, assessment and quality management, and continued working at the agency until she was appointed the director of the Planning and Budgeting Department in 2003 and later promoted to senior director of the Planning and Budgeting Department in 2007.
Currently, Dr. Krasachol is an executive vice president of the NSTDA. Her responsibilities include planning organizational strategies, budgeting, finances and accounting. In addition, Dr. Krasachol is also instrumental in Thailand’s development of quality management. She chairs a subcommittee tasked with developing a system for improving the management quality of the public sector and also chairs the board, and is the secretary of the Foundation for Total Quality Management (TQM) Promotion in Thailand.
