current Para Asphalt Cement (Para AC) production often suffers from ammonia vapors (preservative for natural rubber latex) with a pungent odor and clogging of NR latex in pipelines. To resolve the problems of currently use of traditional NR latex in Para AC plants, the ULA-Asphalt latex used for mixing with asphalt cement has been developed. Special features of ULA-Asphalt latex include a very low ammonia concentration (0.10-0.15%), high mechanical stability, good thermal stability, long shelf life (more than 6 months) and immediate use within 1-2 days after the production date. The ULA-Asphalt latex helps reduce pollution from ammonia vapors, complaints from surrounding communities, clogging in pipelines in Para AC plants. It does not require either ammonia gas trapping equipment installation or additional wastewater treatment ponds construction. High quality ULA-Para AC products comply with the standard of Thai industrial products (TIS 2731-2559). without any proper preservation, spontaneous coagulation and spoilage of fresh natural rubber latex usually occurs in 6-8 hours after tapping from the rubber trees. Preservatives are required to extend the shelf life of fresh latex. Ammonia and sodium sulfite are widely used as commercial preservatives. However, ammonia creates a toxic fume, endangering the workers\u2019 health and causing environmental pollution. BeThEPS has been developed to extend the shelf life of fresh latex, thus replacing the use of ammonia and sodium sulfite. It can extend the shelf life of fresh latex by up to 1-3 days, reduce the transportation frequency of fresh latex to the processing factory, thereby saving time and fuel for rubber farmers. It can also increase the high graded rubber sheet, increase the income of rubber farmers and rubber sheet manufacturers and provide a better choice of the raw material for tires, automotive parts, conveyor belts, flooring rubber and rubber adhesives.
