At a recent NANOTEC Board Meeting, Prof. Dr. Pairash Thajchayapong, Chairman of the Board and Prof. Sirirurg Songsivilai, Executive Director NANOTEC presented flowers to Dr. Gamolwan Tumcharern (Nanomolecular Sensor Lab) and Dr. Kajornsak Faungnawakij (NanoEnergy & Cat.)  as a token of appreciation for their receiving awards and bringing recognition to NANOTEC.

 

Dr. Gamolwan Tumcharern was a member of the ChulalongkornUniversity research team headed by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mongkol Sukwattanasinitt (Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science) that received the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT) Research Output Award 2010 for their research work on “Sensors from ? – conjugated Acetylenes”. The NRCT Award 2010 presentation ceremony will be presented in conjunction with the 2011 National Innovation Day, during 2-5 February 2011 at IMPACT Arena Muang Thong Thani.

 

Dr. Kajornsak received the 2010 CST Distinguished Young Chemist Award from the Chemist Society of Thailand (CST) during the Pure and Applied Chemistry International Conference (PACCON 2011) at Miracle Grand Hotel, Bangkok. His Excellency Mr. Ampol Senanarong, Privy Councillor presided over the award presentation ceremony on January 5, 2011.
